Requirements

County Agencies / Departments at times are looking to lease space from the private sector. The space is typically office or warehouse space or a combination of office and warehouse. The space is often in modern office buildings, industrial areas, or business parks and can be located throughout the County of Orange. Occasionally, the County is seeking to purchase various types of buildings and/or land parcels.

  • Acceptable locations will allow the use in conformance with the General Plan of the local jurisdiction and comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • County real estate employees represent the County and perform the same functions as a tenant's agent does in the private sector. Although County employees are not paid on commission, the County will participate equally in all commissions just as a tenant's broker who represents their clients.
  • The County will only deal directly with the landlord of the property being leased or the broker who has a listing of the property being leased.

Property owners or listing brokers are welcome to send the County informational flyers on the property they wish to lease or sell.
