Facilities Operations operates the Central Utility Facility which currently provides various combinations of steam, cooling water, and electrical power to over (20) County, City, State, and Federal facilities in the Civic Center Campus on a 24 hour, 365 day basis.
The Compliance Unit is responsible for regularity permits, compliance fees and documentation for AQMD & CUPA for boilers, generators, fuel dispensing pumps, and ponds. Compliance manages the Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures Plans, hazardous materials, CUF Greenhouse Gas Reports, AQMD refrigerant reports, and fuel tanks for (11) sites.
