The Property Management section provides the real estate services necessary to manage the real estate assets of our clients. These services include issuing Requests for Proposals or Bids, managing real estate assets within and outside of the County, such as the Santa Ana River Project properties located in the Prado Basin area, selling surplus property, selling easements, and leasing property that is not currently needed by our clients. These various transactions involve negotiations with both public and private entities and require drafting documents, such as easement, grant, and quitclaim deeds, licenses, leases, options to lease or purchase, and other agreements, as needed. The Property Management section also advises on appropriate conditions and fees to be charged for encroachment permits to be issued for use of County property by others and provides consultation services to our clients regarding various real estate property management issues. Both internal and external training is provided to Property Management staff on a continual basis.
